Nightmares - where do they come from?

Nightmares - where do they come from? What is the true origin of this nightly horror? In the following I will briefly quote an excerpt from a teaching by Mark Prophet from 1967 - and then I will share with you a personal experience of mine - it will be interesting:

"Nightmares occur when your emotional body, which has detached from the physical body, becomes entangled in the psychic or astral plane. And that is what happens to you. Only a master or an advanced soul under the guidance of a master knows how to free yourself from this kind of entanglement once you have left the body." (Translation of a quote from Mark L. Prophet)

Let's move on to a personal experience I had recently that confirms all of this:

I was careless one day and went to bed in a really bad mood without having transformed this entangled energy. Accordingly, I took these energies with me into the night journeys and found myself in a lower astral/psychic plane place. It wasn't really different from Earth - it was actually like an image of familiar places - in this case I was in a bar and was part of base and self-destructive activities, without going into more detail.

Suddenly I noticed a person standing very close to me. In fact, she was with me the whole time... so close that it almost felt like a shadow clinging to my aura. I immediately realized that I had to get out of this situation and started to say the following:

"I AM The Light of the Heart, shining in the Darkness of Being!"

In an instant, I saw a door open on the right-hand side of the bar... A bright white-gold light shone out of this door.
I repeated the phrase over and over again until I finally woke up. When I opened my eyes, I saw a blue, plasma-like light in my room, which lasted for a few seconds and then faded.

A short, but nevertheless significant experience with a profound lesson. One thing in particular had become clear to me: I went to this lower astral plane (the bar in the case) of my own free will and tried to compensate for my frustration there. For this reason, the light beings, angels, ascended masters could not intervene, in accordance with cosmic laws. But when I came back to myself and called out one of the powerful "I AM affirmations", I allowed the light beings to get me out of this horrible situation. So the door in the bar opened, from which the golden-white light shone out, followed by a plasma-like blue light that I could still see in my waking room.
