As so often and with pleasure, I went to my favorite organic food store. I strolled around happily and marveled at the abundance of wonderful food on offer. In fact, this always makes me happy.
After a while, I went to the checkout. There was a lady in front of me who was about to pay - but she was missing something. I didn't really look at her, I was more concerned with just being - I didn't mind the wait at all. But the lady seemed very uncomfortable - she searched and searched and it just took forever.
At some point, a man also came to the checkout with just a few items. I offered him the opportunity to go first if he liked - he gratefully accepted my offer.
Finally, the lady found what she was looking for and called out to me as she was paying: "I think it's really great that they let the man in - I don't often see anything like that."
I replied: "No problem at all, it's completely normal"
She replied: "Still, really great..."
Then she added the decisive and revealing statement:
"I was worried the whole time that it was taking so long - that it might bother them and that made me very anxious... The moment they let the man in, I realized that my worries were completely unfounded - it was all in my head and in no way reflected reality."
I was really pleased with her realization and especially with this situation that took place - and confirmed what she said. She said more to me, however I remember the exact wording - but it all had to do with the realization of that moment - and I confirmed everything she said - just fantastic!!!!
We said goodbye - both with a smile on our faces - and I could feel the situation still lingering in her mind - as it did in mine - and possibly for everyone else who stood at the checkout as time passed and witnessed what happened.
This was not only a lesson for the lady - no. I also see this as an enormously important lesson for me and everyone who witnesses this story - be it live or now here in text form - because it is often exactly as the lady experienced it. We spend hours thinking about something, creating a story in our head that is guided by fear and worry - but it is only a story... What is real is not created in the head through fear, but in the heart through love.
One of the many things we are learning here, on this planet, in this truly chaotic time, is to dissolve old patterns and entangled beliefs that keep us from seeing what is real.
We all go through it - and are always given situations by life that make us aware of things that need healing - where a transformation is needed. The first step is to recognize the problem in the first place - and then -> to focus on the solution. The next situation will soon follow, where we can prove to ourselves that we have made progress - and if we master it successfully, we move on to the next stage of our own development, until we have finally outgrown human limitations and experience again what it means to be truly free.
