Movies decoded - Gandalf and King Théoden

"The Lord of the Rings" - one of the most successful films ever produced. John Ronald Reuel Tolkien (J. R. R. Tolkien) put a story on paper, the content of which seems like a true story to many of us. I believe that a similar story actually took place somewhere in the vastness of the cosmos, on some Earth-like planet. Who knows, maybe even on Earth, in a time long forgotten...

Watching the individual scenes of this epic film trilogy more closely, I noticed various hidden messages that, when recognized, reveal a lot about us and our path here on earth. Messages that have a deep meaning and can help you to understand certain problems more easily and ultimately correct them.

Today I would like to talk about a very important scene from the third part of "The Return of the King":

Gandalf, the white wizard, travels with his companions to Rohan, to King Théoden. He enters the king's hall and sees the stunted king sitting on his throne. Beside him, Gríma Serpent's Tongue, his advisor. It is Gríma's lies that poison the king, as he believes them. In addition, the dark wizard Saruman works in secret and weakens the king's spirit, making him more susceptible to the lies of Grímar Snake-Tongue.

Gandalf decides to free the king from his suffering. He speaks to the king with the words: "You have sat in the shadows for too long... LISTEN TO ME - I will free you from the spell". The embittered king begins to laugh maliciously and says in a frenzy of manipulation: "You have no power here, Gandalf the Grey". At this moment, Gandalf throws off his gray cloak and reveals his white robe. He reveals his true self - the white wizard he has recognized in himself. The king is suddenly struck by lightning. Gandalf speaks again: "I will suck Saruman out of you like poison from a wound!".

Gandalf now uses all his powers to break the king's shackles. Saruman, the dark wizard, notices his work and tries to regain control of the king's mind. In the following scenes, we see how the king struggles with his life. The light of Gandalf is about to free his mind, while the darkness of Saruman tries to penetrate his mind again. The king suffers, tosses and turns in his throne and suddenly collapses. It looks as if he has died... His daughter rushes to him and catches him before he falls to the ground. The camera pans to the king's face and we see him suddenly awaken. The poison in his mind fades and his body rejuvenates within seconds. Théoden looks his daughter in the eye and says: "I know your face". One of Théoden's guards immediately goes to him and hands him his sword. Majestic music fills the hall and the king draws his sword. He looks at it, knowing who he really is - knowing that he is in fact a king.

Truly an epic scene! - and it describes exactly what happens to us. I see King Théoden as symbolic of "us", the children of the earth, kings and queens, sons and daughters of God who have forgotten who they really are. Our minds have been clouded by the influences of certain dark forces that act in secret - like Saruman the dark wizard, who infested the king's mind in a bent state. In addition, our true nature has been suppressed because we have believed the lies of certain negative people, creating an illusion. Grímar Serpent's Tongue is the perfect analogy for those manipulative people who have been feeding us lies to keep us trapped in an illusion and perpetuate the slave system. Because as harsh as it may sound, in the end we are responsible for the suffering on the planet.
Yes, we have been manipulated - but WE can decide whether we believe the lies of those dark forces and thus create a world of discord - or whether we believe the light, look to God within us and thus create a world of euphony.

Gandalf symbolizes the light of truth that is anchored within us and only needs to be recognized in order to free ourselves from the shackles of darkness. It is a battle for our consciousness - a battle between good and evil - between hate and love - between light and darkness.

One decisive truth was conveyed in the movie, namely the victory of Gandalf - the victory of the light! As powerful as darkness may >>appear<<, it has not even the slightest chance against the light. There is only one true power in the cosmos and that is the power of God, which we have anchored within us. If we look to this power and use it purely for construction, we free ourselves from all the shackles of the dark forces and experience again what it means to be truly free.
